Russian forces shell Kherson, killing one and injuring two

On Thursday morning, September 7, the Russian occupiers shelled the Kherson region, killing one civilian and two civilians being injured. The Russian forces also hit the center of Kherson.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, the Kherson regional military administration, and the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

"Today, around 7 o'clock, the Russian army shelled Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank. According to initial data, the hits damaged an apartment in the city's center, causing fire and houses in Dniprovskyi and Korabelnyi districts," Mrochko said in a statement.

The Kherson regional military administration reported that the Russians also attacked a civilian in Odradokamianka from a drone. An explosive object was thrown at a 58-year-old man, resulting in him being wounded in the head and chest. The victim is in the hospital in a moderate condition. He is provided with the necessary medical assistance.

Oleksandr Prokudin reported that the attack on Odradokamianka injured two locals and killed one person.

"Around 9:40, enemy artillery hit the settlement. A 50-year-old man came under fire. Neighbors took him to the hospital in critical condition. Doctors tried to save the injured man's life, but the injuries were too severe. Unfortunately, the man died from his injuries," Prokudin said in a statement. "Twenty minutes later, the invaders attacked the village again. This time, the explosive object was dropped from the drone. Two men — 58 and 46 years old — received moderate injuries. They are now in the hospital." 

Situation in Kherson region

Over the past day, the Russian forces launched 68 attacks, firing 239 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad launchers, UAVs, RPGs, LNG, and aviation. The Russians fired 24 shells at the city of Kherson. The Russian military targeted the residential quarters of settlements, the territory, and the factory building in Kherson.

On September 5, Russian troops shelled Ivanivka in the Berislav district of the Kherson region. Two local residents were injured.

On Sunday, September 3, Russian invaders shelled the Kherson region again. This time, they hit residential buildings in Bilozerka and Kherson.

On September 1, around 19:00, the Russian military shelled a village in the Bilozerka community in the Kherson region. A tractor brigade on the territory of an agro-enterprise came under fire. The driver of the tractor received non-life-threatening injuries.
