Ukrainian intelligence operation kills two Russian agents known for torturing residents in occupied Kherson
Ukrainian partisans destroyed a car carrying two Russian FSB employees and military personnel in the occupied town of Oleshky, southern Kherson region, according to Ukraine's Security Service.
One of the FSB employees was killed instantly by the explosion, and the other is in intensive care in a serious condition. Three Russian soldiers who were escorting the car were injured.
Ukraine's Security Service bears responsibility for the accident. Agents noted that the blown-up FSB officers targeted civilians in occupied Skadovsk. They also worked in Oleshky, known as the most affected by the Kakhovka dam explosion, to torture partisans and civilians.
Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin said that about 90% of Ukrainian troops had been tortured, raped, threatened with sexual violence or other forms of ill-treatment during Russian captivity.
Previously, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) blew up Yuriy Afanasyevsky, who headed the local 'customs' in the occupied Luhansk region.
On May 12, a high-ranking collaborator, known as the deputy minister of construction in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, was injured in a blast in the temporarily occupied Melitopol.
