Blinken pledges $300 mln to Ukraine during his visit to border guards
During his trip to Ukraine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Ukrainian troops, who showed the US-supplied equipment that had served its purpose 100%, Obozrevatel reports.
Blinken shook hands with the soldiers and spoke through an interpreter. Ukraine's troops demonstrated American helmets, body armor, and other items that saved the lives of their comrades. Among them was even a tablet. Its metal case miraculously stopped a piece of debris.
The US plans to supply the border guards with American MRAP armored vehicles in the future.
I don't think you'll be using it anymore, Blinken joked, as he was told that the tablet would be part of an exhibition about a full-scale war.
Blinken also met with Ukrainian border guards and pledged a $300 mln batch of aid.

Head of the State Border Guard Service Serhii Deyneko met with Blinken to discuss implemented projects to strengthen the capacity of border guards and further support.
Deineko thanked Blinken for his strong and consistent support for the people of Ukraine. He noted the high level of cooperation with the State Department and other US. institutions, with the help of which nine international technical assistance projects are currently being implemented.
Antony Blinken visit to Ukraine
On September 6, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived for an official visit in Kyiv. During his stay, he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
The last time Blinken visited Ukraine was in September 2022. The US Secretary of State's trip was not announced at that time either.
The US Secretary of State announced a new support package worth more than $1 billion. Part of this amount ($206 million) will be spent on humanitarian aid.
