Mercedes-Benz sends over 100 Zetros off-road trucks to Ukrainian forces

The German automaker Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks has handed over more than 100 Zetros off-road military trucks to the Ukrainian army, the Daimler Truck website reports.

What is the problem?

The issue of providing the Ukrainian military with vehicles remains challenging and problematic. Heavy trucks don't last long in combat and break down, requiring major repairs or complete replacement.

What is the solution?

Various military equipment from Ukraine's allies is extremely vital to troops repelling Russia's all-out war. Ukraine's Defense Ministry has recently received over 100 Zetros off-road trucks from Mercedes-Benz. The German government funded this purchase, which is jointly overseen and implemented by the German Foreign Office and the Ministry of Defense.

The delivery package includes several types of vehicles to meet the challenges of military supply and logistics.

How does it work?

With these vehicles, Ukrainian troops will expand their operational capabilities in supply and defense. Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks office provides Ukraine's DM with a wide range of services regarding these vehicles.

Drivers have already completed training courses and internships on the new vehicles.

Daimler Truck has announced that Ukraine's Interior Ministry has been using Mercedes-Benz Zetros from previous deliveries for several months of disaster relief operations.

Humanitarian aid workers use trucks to help people in hard-to-reach areas, clear roads, and remove debris. Where the site is clear, the vehicles also serve as a back-up during reconstruction.
