Ukraine claims photo shows evidence of Russian drones falling on Romanian territory – FM Kuleba
Ukraine has photographic proof of Shahed drones falling on Romania's land during Russia's large–scale air attack against Ukraine on the night of September 4.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated this during a conversation with journalists in Kyiv, according to Ukrinform.
"I think that in this case in particular, they [the Romanian authorities – ed.] are now studying all aspects of what happened. It is pointless to deny that something fell there. And we authoritatively claim, with evidence, that Shahed drones flew there. We have photo evidence that something fell there," Kuleba said.
He expressed the opinion that the Romanian authorities decided to take a break to investigate the situation and draw conclusions thoroughly.
In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that "there are tendencies to try not to escalate the interpretation of certain events by the partners in order not to be involved in a direct conflict."
Kuleba emphasized that it is absolutely obvious to Ukraine what happened in Romania.
"We have photographic evidence. We are ready to share it, but the Romanian authorities will make the final conclusions, who must draw conclusions and say what they will do with it. It is easier to draw conclusions than to do something with them later. Due to this, there's such an overly cautious response," summed up the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
For reference:
As previously reported by Rubryka, on the night of Monday, September 4, during the massive shelling of Ukraine, Russian Shahed kamikaze drones fell and exploded on the territory of neighboring Romania.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania denies that Russian drones exploded on its territory. At the same time, the ministry emphasized that it considers these Russian attacks unjustified and contrary to international humanitarian law.
