The governor of the Pskov Oblast, Mikhail Vedernikov, TASS propaganda news agency, citing emergency services, Telegram channels Mash and Baza reported this.
The key target for UAVs in Pskov was the local airport used by civil and military aviation. Initially, Vedernikov reported that "the Ministry of Defense at the Pskov airport repels the drone attack."
"I have personally been on the scene since the beginning of the incident. According to preliminary information, there are no victims. The scale of the destruction is being clarified," the governor said.
According to the Russian media, the attack damaged four Il-76 aircraft stationed at the military airfield in Pskov.
The satellite images of the airfield show that the aircraft was previously deployed tightly and without shelter, so unreported losses in equipment may be greater.
According to Baza, more than 10 UAVs attacked the airfield. According to preliminary data, two planes were damaged due to the explosions.
Shortly after the attack around the airport, the Edelweiss plan was introduced, which involved gathering the Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel.
After the attack, Russian troops began taking the surviving transport planes from the airport. At least five aircraft left the airport overnight.
ASTRA reports that the fire also started in the area of military base 64044. This is the location of the 2nd state intelligence special forces brigade in Promizhnytsia, which participated in the invasion of Ukraine.
Later, a video appeared showing the plane burning at the airfield.
As Rubryka reported, on August 19, at least one Russian Tu-22M3 bomber could have been destroyed by a drone attack on the Soltsy airfield in the Novgorod Oblast.
On August 21, loud explosions rang out in Rostov, Russia. The local mass media invented the alleged "shooting down of three S-200 missiles." The "work" of the Air Defense Forces was also reported in the Kaluga Oblast.
What do we know about explosions in Russia?

On August 14, a loud explosion rang out in Russia's Belgorod Oblast. At the same time, the Russian authorities declared the alleged activation of air defense. On August 13, an alleged drone attack was also reported in Belgorod. A residential building was partially damaged in the city. On August 12, residents of two settlements in the Belgorod Oblast heard explosions and automatic rounds.
On the night of July 30, one of the biggest attacks in Moscow took place. Unknown drones hit the business center of the Russian capital – Moscow City. The drones hit the so-called "government tower," where the offices of three Russian ministries are located: the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Communications.
