What is the problem?
On the night of June 1, three people, including a child, died due to the fall of fragments of Russian rockets in Kyiv. Yaroslav, a resident of the capital whose wife died during the attack by the Russians on June 1, said that people ran to the shelter at night, but no one opened the door to them.
According to Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, as of June 7, the city commission had already inspected 73% of Kyiv shelters, of which a third turned out to be unusable. At that time, the absolute majority of shelters remained without free access.
What is the solution?
The Ukrainian manufacturer of security systems, Ajax, has equipped a shelter with an automatic door opening during an air raid in the Darnytskyi district. The test project was developed jointly with the Ajax company. The manufacturer independently financed the work, with no budget money used to arrange the shelter.
How does it work?
Mykola Kalashnyk, Acting Head of the Darnytskyi District State Administration, reports that the shelter is located in Kyiv at 3/15 Novodarnytsa Street.
"The automatic access system during an air raid, video surveillance, communication with the dispatcher, and air control sensors are all extremely important for the structures of the civil protection to function properly," the statement said.
Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, said he was glad that the Ukrainian developer also implemented its technological solutions for shelters, citing the Ajax-developed Air Alert app.
"I'm in favor of simple solutions. I'm glad that Ajax, the Ukrainian flagship in security systems, has also provided its solution for shelters," Kamyshin sai.
