Russian forces shell hospital in Ukraine's northern Chernihiv

The Russian military shelled a local hospital in the town of Semenivka with artillery in Ukraine's Chernihiv region, head of the military administration Viacheslav Chaus reports.

The enemy targets hospitals. Today in the afternoon, Russian terrorists shelled the town of Semenivka with artillery. As it has already been done more than once. The surgical building of a local hospital was damaged, Chaus reported.

Previously, Chernihiv has been prone to Russian attacks. The enemy forces targeted Ukraine's northern city with a ballistic missile on the morning of August 19.

The latest update says the attack has killed seven civilians and injured 117, with 12 of them being children. Previously, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported a 6-year-old girl died when police officers were trying to provide medical assistance.

The local governor Viacheslav Chaus reported the attack, saying that a ballistic missile was likely used to strike the city center when most people gathered for various activities and fests.
