Ukraine's Security Service exposes Kyiv businessman who transferred around $400,000 to Russia
Ukraine's Security Service gathered evidence against the owner of a Kyiv trading company involved in financing Russian aggression.
The suspect is a business structure that imports and sells climate control equipment from East Asia in Ukraine. According to the investigation, the owner of this company is the founder of two other trading companies in Moscow.
On the eve of Russia's full-scale war, he left for one of the European countries where he coordinates his business, including Russia.
It was on the businessman's instructions that the Russian companies continued their commercial activities after the start of the all-out war and transferred millions of dollars to the Russian budget in taxes.
Last year alone, he financed the state treasury with more than 50 million Russian rubles ($400,000)
The actual "operational" management of the enterprises, in particular in Russia, was carried out from Kyiv by the financial director of the defendant's company.
Based on the collected evidence, Ukrainian investigators served the owner of the companies and his subordinates a notice of suspicion.
Since the enemy accomplice is outside Ukraine, measures are being taken to bring him to justice.
As for the accomplice, the issue of choosing custody as a measure of restraint is being decided. The suspects face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
