Ukrainian troops destroy new Russian radar station worth $200 mln in Kherson region

Ukrainian forces spotted a newly made Russian Predel-E radar system in the Kherson region and destroyed it with artillery fire.

The new technology is worth $200 million, Defense Forces on the South report on their Telegram.

This is how ambitiously and pompously the Russians presented the novelty of their military-industrial complex to a narrow circle of specialists in June this year. Then they sent it to the temporarily occupied Kherson region in secret to monitor our actions both at sea and on land, the press service says.

The military added that although the exclusive Predel-E was also covered by a quite modern Leyer-2 electronic warfare system, "nothing can be hidden from us on our land."

Ukrainian troops liberated the city of Kherson and other settlements on the west bank of the Dnipro River in November 2022. The part of the Kherson region located on the river's east bank remains under Russian occupation.

Ukraine's Security Service detained a pro-Russian citizen who's been guiding various missile strikes at the liberated Kherson city for a month. The woman was tracking the locations and movements of Ukrainian troops, trying to find their approximate number and the amount of military equipment they kept.
