Russian troops shell Virivka in Kherson region, killing one
Today, August 27, in the Kherson region, the enemy covered Virivka of the Tiahin community with fire. A 35-year-old civilian resident died.
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram.
As a result of the attack, one woman received incompatible with life injuries. One more person was injured – she was hospitalized. The data is being verified.
"Unfortunately, people were injured. A 35-year-old woman was killed by Russian shelling, and another resident was taken to the hospital with injuries," Prokudin wrote.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, documented the consequences of the shelling and started a pre-trial investigation into violating the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code).

After the Ukrainian soldiers liberated the right bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, Russian terrorists shelled the region almost every day, including the administrative center. During the strikes, the occupiers use heavy weapons and aviation.
For example, on August 27, the enemy dropped guided aerial bombs on the Kherson region, namely the Dariiv, Kozatsky, and Odradokamian districts.
According to Prokudin, only in the past day, August 27, the Russians carried out 61 shellings, firing 272 shells from mortars, artillery, tanks, Grads MRLS, and drones. The enemy fired 36 shells at Kherson.
The Russian military targeted the residential complexes of the region's populated centers, the building of the critical infrastructure object, the territory and building of the medical institution, the building of the enterprise in Kherson, the territory of the national park, and warehouses in the Beryslav district.
As a result of Russian aggression, one person died, and four others were injured, Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
It should be noted that on the night of August 27, a large-scale air alert sounded throughout the country, and the enemy launched cruise missiles in the direction of the capital. Anti-aircraft defense forces shot down all enemy targets.
In the Ukrainian sky, anti-aircraft defense shot down four air targets. As the pilots reported, the cruise missiles were fired from 5 strategic aviation planes from the airspace of the Russian Federation in the Engels region.
The military said that up to eight aerial targets were observed in total.
In the Kyiv region, ten houses were damaged due to the fall of fragments of an enemy rocket, and some people were injured.
