Russian troops attack café in eastern Kupiansk district, killing two
On the morning of August 26, Russian forces attacked the Kupiansk district, hitting a cafe. Authorities report at least two killed and one injured.
As medics informed us, two people were killed in the village of Podoly, and one more was wounded.
The enemy hit a civilian object – a cafe, where local residents were at the moment.
Emergency services are working at the scene. Information about the killed and wounded is being confirmed.
Russian forces attacked over 100 settlements across seven Ukrainian regions, killing three civilians and injuring at least four others over the past day.
The head of the local military administration said several settlements were under Russian fire. The enemy fired from rocket and barrel artillery, and mortars, and used combat aircraft.
Demining work continues in the region, as Kharkiv remains the most mined area in Ukraine. During the day, the pyrotechnics examined more than 5.7 hectares of territory and neutralized 107 explosive objects.
