Over 500 Transcarpathian residents take part in the patriotic run to honor fallen Ukrainian defenders
The patriotic run "I respect soldiers, I run for the heroes of Ukraine" took place today, August 26, in Uzhhorod.

The event was dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Defenders of Ukraine, which is marked annually on August 29. About half a thousand Transcarpathian residents joined the patriotic event. These were military personnel, veterans of the anti-terrorist operation, law enforcement officers, border guards, representatives of the National Guard, citizens, and guests of the regional center.
The participants received stickers with the names of the fallen defenders and chose to cover a distance of 2 or 5 km in memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the independence and freedom of our country. Many locals ran with whole families.

With a moment of silence, the participants honored the fallen defenders of Ukraine and noted the importance of holding such events in memory of the heroes and the support of their loved ones.

The run "I respect soldiers, I run for the heroes of Ukraine" in Uzhhorod was organized for the third time by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, and the Regional Center for Physical Health of the Population "Sports for All".
