Russian troops flood their ferries to protect Crimean Bridge from Ukrainian strikes – Ukraine's intelligence

Russians began flooding ferries in the Kerch Strait to protect the Crimean Bridge from Ukrainian attacks.

The occupiers plan to drown six ships to hold a know-how defense line, according to Ukraine's Intelligence report.

At the same time, the Russians intend to install containment booms between the flooded ferries. The submerged boats will provide a protective lane in the water in front of the bridge.

This measure of protection of the nineteen-kilometer bridge in the form of flooding ferries indicates the "feverishness of decisions and the intellectual crisis" within the military-political leadership, says the report.

Since its first use of Western long-range missiles, Ukrainian forces have been attempting to crack down on the illegally built Crimean Bridge, which links Russia with the occupied peninsula. The bridge has sustained at least two missile attacks.

The construction remains a key military supply route for Russian forces, which is a legitimate target for Ukraine, says the Intelligence.

Ukraine's Security Service claimed responsibility for the July 17 attack and said they used an experimental sea drone in the operation, CNN reported on August 15.

The explosion heavily damaged a section of the bridge for road traffic and may not be fully repaired until November, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on the day of the attack.
