Greece will provide F-16s training for Ukrainian pilots – Zelensky
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Greece will join the so-called aircraft coalition following his talks with Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
He thanked Mitsotakis for the "readiness to help protect our freedom more."
We are thankful that Greece will provide defence support for Ukraine. Our teams are discussing corresponding details, Zelensky stated.
President Zelensky brought up Ukraine's defense needs and named specific things that can accelerate the end of the Russian aggression.
Today we have an important result for the aviation coalition. Greece will take part in the training of our pilots on the F-16, Zelensky said.
Ukraine's allies have recently reached an agreement on F-16s supply to Ukraine, backed by the Netherlands and Denmark after the US approved the transfer. Both states pledged to send 42 warplanes.
