“Russia has already lost” the war, failing to achieve any of its planned goals – Biden

Russia has already lost the war against Ukraine without achieving any of the planned goals.

US President Joe Biden stated this, reports CNN.

Speaking after a tripartite summit with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Biden called Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's argument for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine "ridiculous."

"Russia has already lost. It cannot meet its original objective, which it stated. It's not possible," he said.

Biden also noted that the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine "extend well beyond Europe."

"Imagine if we'd done nothing. And the point was immediately recognized if I'm not mistaken by you, Mr. Prime Minister, that we're in a situation where it could happen anywhere. If we stood still, what statement would that send to China about Taiwan? What signal would that send around the world?" – asked the US president.

"The invasion is not "only a European problem; there hasn't been that kind of invasion since World War II," he said.

Biden positively noted Tokyo's reaction to Russia's full-scale military aggression against Ukraine.

In addition, he stated that Japan "showed strong leadership through the G7 as well and contributed to a significant amount of financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine as well as nonlethal military equipment."

In response to the full–scale war launched by Russia in Ukraine, the United States has come to the forefront of support for Ukraine.

With total commitments of 70.699 billion euros, the United States supplied the most support from any other nation, as the Kiel Institute for the World Economy reported. This accounts for 0.330% of the United States GDP.

Furthermore, the US has also given the most humanitarian aid with 3.598 billion euros, accounting for 0.017% of the country's GDP.

Additionally, financial aid of 24.264 billion euros was provided, corresponding to 0.113% of the American GDP.

Finally, the state has supplied military aid of 42.837 billion euros, which equates to 0.200% of the US GDP.

The United States remains dedicated to standing with Ukraine through this war and continuing to provide whatever support is necessary during this difficult time.
