Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Defense Intelligence Chief Kyrylo Budanov, singers Jamala and TAYANNA, boxer Oleksandr Usyk, and artist Sonia Moroziuk also made their contributions, Rubryka reports.
What is the problem?
Today, every Ukrainian with an active position, leader, entrepreneur, and public figure should popularize the culture of charity, attracting international partners and Ukrainians who have fled the country. Reminding the world that the war continues, supporting the image of Ukraine, and preserving its reputation is vital.
"Ukrainian companies, foundations, brands, and representatives of creative industries joined forces to hold the LONDON CHARITY EVENT. By strengthening the culture of charity and expressing a civic position in the international arena, we will be able to get closer to a joint victory faster," said Anastasia Lohutenko, co-founder of the RGB idea group.
What is the solution?
LONDON CHARITY EVENT brought together more than 80 guests – managers and business owners working in the UK, Ukraine, and Europe as a whole, Ukrainian entrepreneurs, creative business figures, and patrons, whom the partners of the London business club event attracted.
The event combined several formats, like performances of top speakers, charity auction, and UA-brand showroom, created to boost charitable fundraising and promote Ukrainian brands.
How does it work?
The program of the event consisted of two key parts: international business networking and charitable initiatives.
100% of the money raised at the event will be spent on cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Lectures were given by the president of the IT association EASE, founder of the Powercode group of companies, Vladyslav Savchenko, and Roman Kyrylovych, co-founder of the Franch agency.
Ukrainian singer TAYANNA created a warm atmosphere. Her voice resonated with the audience.
"Each person should now do what they can, investing their talents, skills, all possibilities. It is important that people unite and help each other!" she said.
The key initiative of the evening was an auction with valuable lots from artists, musicians, athletes, politicians, and heroes of the Armed Forces.
The lots included:
Boxing gloves signed by Oleksandr Usyk became the most expensive auction lot. They were purchased by Vladyslav Savchenko, making the largest contribution to the common cause.
"All of us are now working to ensure that Ukraine wins as soon as possible," said Illia Reinish, co-organizer of the event, co-founder and commercial director of Laba. "It seems to me that now all personal or business goals are of little importance while the war continues. We have reached our financial goal and are satisfied with the result."
Does it really work?
The LONDON CHARITY EVENT raised more than $30,000. With this money, the partner of the event, the PEREMOGA charitable foundation, will purchase cars for the military forces of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia areas.
The Come Back Alive NGO, monobank, and UNITED24 fundraising platform are actively raising funds to purchase 10,000 kamikaze drones for the Ukrainian army.
Rubryka also reported that doctor Karim Lounici from France traveled more than 4,000 km on a bicycle to raise funds for generators and first-aid kits for the Ukrainian military.
