Russian forces attempt to retake positions near liberated southern Urozhaine – AFU General Staff
Ukrainian troops continue to advance on two fronts, repelling a Russian attack near Avdiivka in the Bakhmut area and destroying an enemy air defense system.m according to the latest AFU report.
Over 23 combat encounters occurred on the front line as Ukrainian forces are conducting an offensive on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts. Russian forces attempted to push on the Kupiansk, Avdiivka, and Mariinka fronts and retake their positions near the village of Urozhaine.
During the day, the enemy troops launched 42 missiles and 44 air strikes, firing 24 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions and populated areas. Russian attacks have resulted in civilian casualties, including children. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.
At the same time, the Ukrainian forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating their positions and carrying out counter-battery activities.
Over the past day, the Air Force carried out seven strikes on Russian personnel clusters.
Missile and artillery units destroyed two artillery pieces at firing positions, one anti-aircraft missile system, and another important enemy target.
