Kyiv university student wins internship at space company through Noosphere Space Games victory

Bohdan Borovyk, a Department of Space Engineering of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute student, became the winner in the general competition and the special mission. In addition to the cash prize, he won an internship with the aerospace company Flight Control Propulsion.

As reported in the publication, the third Noosphere Space Games. Senior Edition on virtual rocket modeling competition took place this spring.

In addition to the mission with cash prizes, participants had the opportunity to participate in a separate competition and win an internship at Flight Control Propulsion. 19-year-old Bohdan Borovyk became the winner in the general competition and special mission.

At this time, he is undergoing an internship at a space company.

Bohdan is from Lviv. He is a National University Kyiv Polytechnic Institute student in the Department of Space Engineering. The young man has been interested in cosmonautics since school, is constantly engaged in his small projects, tries to move in this direction, and would like to do it professionally.

"Regularly, once every year or two, I come up with some engineering project for myself – an idea for a spacecraft or a launch vehicle – and work on it from scratch to some conceptual or sketch level, just to gain experience in designing and using the knowledge that I'm getting it," says the polytechnic student.

Recently, Bohdan has been studying ballistics, a field related to the flight of rockets and spacecraft. He immediately chose him for an internship.

Now the guy is developing a flight simulator of a launch vehicle under the influence of various forces acting on it, considering the earth's force and its rotation.

"I have been improving this project since the first day, making it more difficult. My mentor and ballistics specialist help me. They support and advise on how to do this or that better," adds the prodigy.
