Over 50 Ukrainian rescuers to aid Slovenia in flood crisis
Ukrainian rescuers went to help Slovenia.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, reported this.
According to the government's decision, a consolidated emergency rescue team of the State Emergency Service was sent by road to Slovenia, suffering from floods.

Klymenko said that the group is equipped with almost 20 units of specialized equipment.
"Friends of Ukraine can always count on our support. We will never leave those who need help in trouble. Even if it's not easy for us," said Klymenko.
The Cabinet of Ministers [Ukraine's government – ed.] also issued an order to provide humanitarian aid to the Republic of Slovenia in liquidation of the consequences of the flood.

On the night of August 3-4, 2023, heavy rainfall began in some Slovenia regions, leading to large-scale flooding and landslides. From 100 to 200 mm of precipitation fell, flooding areas in the center and north of the country.
According to preliminary data, six people died, and another 23 were injured. Thousands of residents were evacuated, houses and roads were destroyed, and transport connections and electricity supply were disrupted.
