Russian drones attack Ukraine by night: air defense downs seven out of ten threats

Russian forces attacked Ukraine again with Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones at night on August 10.

Rubryka reports, citing the statement of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, that soldiers were able to shoot down seven out of ten drones. The Russian invaders used 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs.

"Seven attack drones were destroyed. In total, the Russian occupiers used 10 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs," the statement reads.

On the night of August 10, the Russian forces struck with Iranian drones from the north-eastern direction of Russia's Kursk Oblast. The attack lasted from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

The UAVs were shot down with the help of anti-aircraft-guided missiles and small arms of direct cover units.

Over the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has carried out more than four dozen sorties, 20 aimed at attacking Russian facilities, areas of concentration of equipment, and manpower.

• Rivne region

Russian troops attacked Ukraine's western Rivne region with the help of kamikaze drones. The attack destroyed the oil depot.

"At night, the Rivne region suffered a massive attack by drones. Unfortunately, an oil depot in the Dubny area was destroyed. There are no victims. Forty-five rescuers and 14 pieces of equipment are working at the scene. A fire train is involved," said the head of the Rivne region, Vitalii Koval.

According to him, all relevant investigative commissions headed by the heads of the regional security forces are working at the site of the attack. Koval also stressed that the chemical and radiation background at the site of the impact remains normal. Evacuation of the population will not apply.

• Kyiv region

According to the Kyiv regional military administration, the Russian forces attacked the area at night by drones. The air alert lasted more than three hours. Air defense was working in the region. No hits have been recorded, and there are no victims. According to initial information, there is no fall of debris either. Operational groups continue to work to identify possible damage.

• Khmelnytskyi region

As reported by local authorities, explosions were heard in the western Khmelnytskyi region tonight during the air raid alert. Air defense forces were activated. There were no hits or casualties.

Attack on Ukraine

This night, Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine using drones. The air raid warning sounded several times in the region during the night.

On the evening of August 5 and the night of August 6, the Russian invaders massively attacked the territory of Ukraine with missiles and attack drones: Ukrainian air defense downed 30 rockets and 27 Shahed-136/131 drones.

On August 3, the Russian forces also attacked Ukraine with drones. During the night, air defense destroyed 22 UAVs: 15 Shahedd and seven reconnaissance drones.
