Ukraine's intelligence chief visits Bulgaria to discuss international security

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Chief Kyrylo Budanov arrived in Bulgaria, the Military Intelligence Service said on its website on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian delegation met with Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev and Venelin Venev, Director of the Bulgarian Military Intelligence Service, and discussed security issues along with the "Myrotvorets" ("Peacemaker") website, which regularly publishes pro-Russian Ukrainian citizens and collaborators. 

During the talks, they discussed the state of regional and international security, the prospects for the development of the situation and other topics of mutual interest. On the Bulgarian side,the issue of the Myrotvorets website was brought up and clarified, the ministry said in a statement.

The sides were highly appreciative of the meetings held. An emphasis was laid on the productivity of the talks, and satisfaction was expressed with the level of bilateral cooperation.

The Bulgarian side did not disclose when the visit took place, but at the end of last week, the local TV channel bTV published an interview with Budanov, where he spoke about the cooperation between Kyiv and Sofia in terms of arms supplies.
