Russian occupation authorities report another hit on Chonhar Bridge
On August 6, a rocket attack was allegedly carried out on the Chonрar bridge connecting Crimea and the Kherson region.
The Russian RBC writes about this with reference to the collaborator Volodymyr Rogov, the Center of National Resistance press service reports.
"A total of three or four hits have been reported. The extent of the damage is still unknown," said Rogov.
The Russian invaders have not released any other details.
The head of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, also reacted to this event. According to him, the Russians claim several hits on the structure.
"It seems that the "good Russians" who are going on vacation to the occupied Crimea and in the opposite direction will feel all the "joy" that their country brought to our land. The reality on temporarily occupied territories is not at all what they are shown on TV," – writes Fedorov.
In addition, explosions rang out in the vicinity of Henichesk and Arabat Spit.
"There are reports of powerful explosions in the area of the temporarily occupied Henichesk and Arabat Spit. Local residents assume that the explosions occurred in the area of the bridges that connect the Arabat Spit with the mainland," writes the press service of the Center of National Resistance.
For reference:
It should be noted that on July 29, the collaborator Volodymyr Saldo reported about the alleged repulse of the Ukrainian attack on the railway in Chonhar. He later admitted that the railway was damaged, but it was allegedly repaired.
After some time, the Office of Strategic Communications of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces confirmed the attack on the bridge in Chonhar, which connects the mainland territory of Ukraine with the occupied Crimea.
This is not the first attack by the Ukrainian military on the bridge. Thus, on June 22, the so-called head of the occupation administration of Kherson, Volodymyr Saldo, reported that there were explosions on the bridges between the Kherson region and Crimea near Chonhar.
It should be noted that Crimea is connected to the Kherson Region by three checkpoints:
- two nearby Armiansk,
- one through Chonhar.
The bridge across the Chonhar Strait is an important logistical link for the supply of the enemy's group in Zaporizhzhia, although not the only one, because there is also a road through Armiansk, but the distance there is only 80 km, and it is theoretically possible to reach it by Himmars.
Just as the Chonhar bridge connects Crimea with mainland Ukraine, it is one of the ways by which the enemy can transfer its weapons and occupiers.
