Russian strikes on Ukrainian airfields ineffective – Ukraine's Air Force

If there's any risk of attack from the Russian army, the pilots move their planes to other airports in Ukraine.

Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said this on the air of the telethon.

It should be noted that starting from August 5 until the morning of August 6, the Russian invaders attacked Khmelnytskyi thrice with missiles and combat drones of Iranian manufacture, resulting in damaged houses and other infrastructure of the Starokostiantiniv community.

Serhii Tiurin, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration deputy, reported that the enemy's attempts to disrupt the Starokostiantyniv airfield keep coming.

In his turn, Ihnat reminded that it was not the first time when the Russian army was attacking the Starokostiantyniv airfield.

"This is not the first time that this airfield has been attacked. It is the regular base of the tactical aviation brigade.

But our aviation is quite mobile; our pilots know how to counter the enemy in these conditions. We have dozens of operational airfields on the state's territory," said the colonel.

The spokesman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine assured that because of this, Russia will not be able to destroy the Ukrainian air fleet.

"That enemy will not be able to destroy our aviation so easily.

I think our pilots will show them what's what shortly," emphasized Ihnat.

Obviously, Ihnat is explaining the protocol for which pilots redeploy planes to other airfields if there is information about a Russian target.

For reference:

It should be noted that on August 5, during a large-scale air alert over Ukraine, Russian aggressors launched Kindzhal aeroballistic missiles that could have flown from the territory of Belarus.

Russian invaders massively attacked the territory of Ukraine with missiles and attack drones: Ukrainian air defense "landed" 30 winged and 27 Shahed-136/131.

In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, after another large-scale missile and drone attack by Russia, called for the provision of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
