Russia-Ukraine border control resumes operation for civilians from occupied territories
The bordering Kolotilovka-Pokrovka checkpoint has resumed its operation after being shut down for a month, complicating the return from occupied territories.
Ukrainians can get back home straight from Russia's land after searching for ways to enter Ukraine from European countries or occupied Crimea.
There is a volunteer humanitarian centre on the Ukrainian border, where all Ukrainians can receive free psychological, legal and humanitarian assistance, spend the night and get to Sumy or other Ukrainian cities, says Ukraine's Ministry of Reintegration.
People wishing to evacuate from the Sumy region can also use the Sumy-Kyiv special evacuation train.
The Ministry for Reintegration also noted that Kyiv authorities would provide all willing housing in the modular city located in the Vyshhorod district.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities announced a mandatory evacuation from the most war-affected settlements in the Donetsk region, setting up a Coordination Headquarters to perform the operation.
The head of the Donetsk military administration Pavlo Kyrylenko said that 80% of the population had evacuated from the region since the start of the full-scale war.
