Ukraine sends 33 more wounded civilians for treatment and rehabilitation to Austria and Lithuania
Ukrainian Health Ministry continues its initiative to treat all wounded civilians and sends 33 more people abroad.
All patients from the frontline areas were evacuated this week. The patients were taken with the active assistance of regional military administrations and medical institutions, with the support of Ukrainian border guards.
Civilians were sent to clinics in Lithuania and Austria.
The group also includes citizens with mine-blast wounds and burn injuries. Ukrainian ministry says all patients who require immediate assistance are evacuated and sent to the clinics at the state's expense.
If necessary, the patients are accompanied by relatives or friends regarding the need for their possible help and support due to their serious condition, as well as further postoperative care.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, almost 4,000 injured Ukrainians have been evacuated for treatment abroad thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Health and partners.
