United to win: Bulgarian government grants Ukraine 100 armored personnel carriers

At a meeting held on August 3, the Bulgarian government approved a draft agreement between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the free provision of armored transport vehicles.

European Pravda reports this referring to the relevant decision it received at its disposal.

The decision of the Bulgarian government provides that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, Kalin Stoyanov, is authorized to conduct negotiations with the Ukrainian side on the conclusion of the agreement, "subject to its further ratification."

In addition, the agreement on transferring armored personnel carriers to Ukraine will be temporarily applied "from the date of signing until it enters into force." This means that the transfer itself can begin even before the agreement's ratification in the Bulgarian parliament.

As reported by Rubryka, after a long and fierce debate, the Bulgarian parliament approved the transfer of 100 armored personnel carriers from the warehouses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Ukraine.

Bulgaria has also provided essential humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The country has committed 0.001 billion euros, amounting to 0.001% of its GDP. This number puts it in the top forty of supporting countries in terms of GDP.
