Ukrainian NGO to open a network of children's safety, development, and support centers

The strategic marketing agency MAKE SENSE developed the idea and strategy to create the largest network of children's spaces in Ukraine for the Blagomay Charity Fund.

The MAKE SENSE Strategic Marketing Agency reports that the Blagomay Charity Fund is one of the largest funds in Ukraine, which during its existence, has helped more than 35,000 children from orphanages and IDPs.

What is the problem?

The war and the emergence of more "important" problems further actualized children's need for a safe space where they will be protected and have access to programs to improve mental and physical health and educational opportunities.

What is the solution?

After analyzing the problems of orphanages and children of IDPs, the idea of BLAGOMAY HUB emerged – a safe space where every socially vulnerable child will have his own space of safety, development, and support.

How does it work?

The project ecosystem includes the following components:

  • SAFETY AND HEALTH – a place of peace, security, and love, where the child is heard and understood and can care for themselves; thematic seminars and training, practical classes, sports games, and consultations of psychologists, medical and legal specialists will be held here.
  • EDUCATION AND SOFT SKILLS – a place of personal, general, and professional development, with access to modern technologies, language learning, computer technologies, professional orientation, etc.
  • SOCIALIZATION AND SUPPORT – a place of interaction with the world, participation in the lives of others and an individual approach to each child, acquiring skills of social activity and expanding social ties, setting goals, and identifying the child's dreams and desires.

When creating the project, MAKE SENSE focused on the best international experience of large charitable organizations that work with vulnerable children. In developed countries, such organizations take on greater responsibility and create their own large projects.

"The main change that took place in the fund is an evolution, a transition from simply covering the urgent needs of children to creating its powerful project, which combines many years of expertise and experience of Blagomay," said Kyrylo Tereshchenko, owner of MAKE SENSE. "Blagomay HUB is a real innovation in Ukraine, which sets a new level of charity, and on a specific project, it shows what it means to be a truly outstanding Ukrainian foundation!"

In turn, Kostiantyn Holubiatnikov, co-founder of the Blagomay Fund, noted: "We are creating the largest network of Ukrainian charitable, educational centers, where teenagers from 13 to 18 years old will be able to feel safe and receive all the necessary help for free, as well as a set of important knowledge and practical skills for socialization, revealing one's talent and a better quality of life. We believe this project is a way to take control of real positive changes in children's lives!"

The opening of the first BLAGOMAY HUB in Kyiv is planned for August and the second in Sumy – for October 2023.

As Rubryka reported, the German initiative #WeAreAllUkrainians, in partnership with the international organization Plan International Ukraine is starting a regional humanitarian response project in Ukraine.

The project will facilitate access to online education and support vulnerable girls and boys of primary school age from families affected by the war in Ukraine and who are internally displaced persons.

Rubryka also reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, 1,589 children have been injured, and 1,090 minors have been severely injured.
