Zelensky visits wounded soldiers treated in Ukraine's western city of Ivano-Frankivsk
On July 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Ukraine's western city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
He visited the military in the hospital and held a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, Rubryka reports, citing the president's Facebook and Telegram.
"The rehabilitation center where our defenders are treated. I want to thank each of our soldiers for their feat and heroism. Thank you from all Ukrainians for protecting our country. There will be a victory for sure! I wish you a speedy recovery!" said the Ukrainian leader.
Zelensky also presented awards to Ukrainian defenders at the hospital.
The president also held a Congress of Local and Regional Authorities meeting, where preparations for the winter season and budget issues were discussed.
"Today, a Congress of Local and Regional Authorities meeting was held in Ivano-Frankivsk. A very important meeting right now, when there is time to prepare for the winter season both at the state level and at the level of regions and communities," the president said. "We must be aware that Russian terrorists will try to continue attacks against the Ukrainian energy industry, against the normal life of people. But our indomitability must win."
Zelensky stressed that local and state budgets should correspond to defense.
"Everyone sees what the needs are on the front lines. Everyone sees what the volunteers are focusing on. All budgets — both state and local — should correspond to the number one priority, namely defense," Zelensky emphasized.
During a working trip to the Donetsk region, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, visited the location of the special forces unit of the Armed Forces, where he took part in solemn events on the occasion of the Day of Special Operations Forces. The head of state congratulated the fighters and thanked them for their courage and resilience.
