German sister city Nuremberg sends nine buses to boost war-battered Kharkiv's public transport
The German sister city of Nuremberg handed over nine MAN buses to Kharkiv.
The Kharkiv City Council reported this.
Currently, buses are heading to Kharkiv, and after the necessary preparations, the city routes that get used the most will get more of them.
It is emphasized that such support from the sister city is critical and timely.
"We need to increase the number of rolling stock, as more and more people are returning to the city, and it is increasingly difficult to satisfy the demand for transportation with the Saltivka depot. Therefore, the new buses will improve the quality of services for passengers," said the director of the Saltivka Tram Depot utility company, Vladyslav Prymak.
Nuremberg intends to hand over 40 buses to Kharkiv by the end of September.
