The enemy has been attacking, but Ukraine's armed forces are fighting back well and haven't lost any position.
"Under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the vicinity of Avdiivka and nearby settlements. In particular, Lastochkyne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka" – listed Shershen.
At the same time, according to the speaker, Ukrainian defenders on the Mariinka front continue to hold back the Russian offensive near Mariinka.
According to the speaker, as a result of the offensive operation on the Berdiansk front, the forces of the "Tavria" group liberated the village of Staromayorske on the left bank of the Mokri Yala River, Volnovasky District, Donetsk region.
As Shershen noted, the liberation of the Staromayorske is an essential tactical success of Ukraine's armed forces since this settlement is a commanding height for further fire control and advancement.
"On the southern outskirts of Staromayorske, our units conduct aerial reconnaissance of the area and carry out counter-battery countermeasures," he added.
Over the last day, the enemy lost 71 and 149 occupiers killed and wounded on the Tavria front, respectively. Also, the Ukrainian army destroyed 19 pieces of equipment and weapons: two tanks, four armored fighting vehicles, a D-20 gun, a Hyacinth gun, automobile equipment, and eight ammunition depots of the Russian occupiers.
