Russia shells Kherson region, injuring two civilians

In the Kherson region, Russia shelled Beryslav and Novokakhovka communities; two civilians were wounded, and an investigation has been launched.

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this.

"Under the procedural leadership of the prosecutor's office of the Kherson region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war," the message reads.

According to the investigation, on July 28, around 3:15 p.m., Russian troops once again fired at the civilian population of the Beryslav community. Previously, mortar fire was carried out. In one of the villages, a 41-year-old local resident was hospitalized due to being injured by shelling.

It is also noted that Russian troops, previously from aviation, attacked the Novokakhovka community. A 57-year-old man was injured.

As a result of the shelling, private homes and facilities of one of the enterprises were damaged.

Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 28 times over the past day, firing a total of 181 shells at it from mortars, artillery, Grad rocket launchers, aviation, and drones.

After the right-bank Kherson region was de-occupied, the Russians were actively shelling it from the other bank of the Dnipro River, using artillery and guided aerial bombs.

The enemy is constantly shelling settlements on the front line.

As reported, the enemy has expanded the area of use of guided aerial bombs in the Kherson region.

The Red Cross Society of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, is establishing ten shelters in the Kherson and Beryslav districts of the Kherson region in the settlements located along the Dnipro River.
