Russia's attacks on ten Ukrainian regions killed three civilians and injured 32 in the past 24 hours

In the past 24 hours, Russian forces have attacked ten regions of Ukraine, killing three and injuring 32 civilians. The information is based on reports from regional military administrations on the situation in Ukraine's regions as of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20.

Russian forces shelled in the northern Chernihiv region, with 63 explosions reported. The Russian troops used mortars and unguided aerial missiles against the Semenivka community of the Novhorod-Siverskyi district. Russian Shahed drones struck the city of Semenivka, damaging three residential buildings (including a multi-story building) and an outbuilding. The Russian forces shelled the Novhorod-Siverskyi community with artillery, rocket launchers, and mortars and launched an attack by Shahed drones near the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi.

In the northern Sumy region, by night, three Russian Shahed 136 drones attacked the area near the northern city of Sumy. The Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine downed two.

The third drone struck the building of an after-school health facility, leading to damage and fire. At the scene, the emergency medical team assisted the facility's nurse. The fire has now been extinguished. Relevant services are working at the scene. The Esman community was also shelled from barrel artillery (10 explosions). 

On Wednesday, the Russians carried out 19 rounds of shelling of the border area, with 99 explosions recorded: Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Myropillia Mykolaivka, Khotyn, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Novoslobidkа communities came under fire.

In the Krasnopillia community, eight residential buildings, ten outbuildings, power lines, gas pipelines, summer kitchens, garages, cars, and a tractor were damaged. A garage, a summer kitchen, and an outbuilding caught fire. In the Myropillia community, an outbuilding and a household were damaged, and livestock were killed.

In the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces shelled the area 82 times during the past day. Seventeen communities, including Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychna, Novodanilivka, Olhivske, Charyvne, Malynivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Stepnohirsk, and Prymorske, were subjected to artillery strikes. Rocket artillery strikes hit Novodarivka and Levadne. Aviation strikes targeted Tavriisk and three other locations. In Orikhiv, two families were affected by the impact of guided bombs. Two women, aged 68 and 76, and a man, aged 70, were injured. A 79-year-old man died from his injuries at a medical facility. There have been 21 reports of damage to residential and utility buildings.

Russian forces shelled the Nikopol district three times overnight in the central Dnipropetrovsk region, firing nearly a dozen shells. The city of Nikopol and the Marhanets community were hit, but no casualties were reported.

Damage was caused to a nine-story building, a private enterprise, a parking lot, and a car. In the morning, aggressor forces fired at the Myrivka community. Damage was reported to an agribusiness, an infrastructure facility, and four residential buildings. Rescue teams are inspecting the area and assessing the consequences of the attack.

In the northeastern Kharkiv region, the Russian forces shelled Vovchansk in the Chuhuiv district on Thursday morning. Emergency services have arrived at the scene. The Russians conducted mortar and artillery shelling on the settlements of Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Stryleche, Vovchansk, Mala Vovcha, and Budarky in the Chuhuiv district.

The Russian forces carried out an aerial strike near Kyslivka. Local settlements, such as Dvorichna, Zapadne, Synkivka, Kyslivka, and Bereztove, were shelled by artillery and mortars. The enemy attacked the village of Petropavlivka in the Kupiansk district, damaging two private houses and causing a fire.

During the day, the Russian troops shelled Vovchansk multiple times, damaging two private residential buildings and at least two individual houses, causing a fire. As a result of the shelling, 11 private homes were damaged in Kupiansk.

On Wednesday, the Russian forces attacked Nevske, Novoliubivka, and Bilohorivka in the eastern Luhansk region. During the past day, the Russian forces carried out 103 attacks (456 shells).

In the eastern Donetsk region, the Russians conducted 22 shelling incidents, targeting 15 settlements, including Avdiivka, Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Siversk, Hostre, Velyka Novosilka, Kurakhivka, Pivdenne, and others. Twenty residential buildings (including two apartment buildings), AKHZ JSC's premises, Nova Poshta LLC's building, an art school, a garage, two civilian cars, and three outbuildings were damaged. Across the region, two people were injured, and three were wounded during the day.

During the night, the Russian forces targeted Mykolaiv with missile strikes in the southern Mykolaiv region. Several floors of a three-story building were destroyed, and a fire broke out, covering an area of 450 square meters. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by morning. Debris dismantling is underway, and neighboring multi-story buildings have also been damaged.

Three garages caught fire due to impact, but swift actions prevented the spread. Around 15 garages were damaged, and windows were shattered in several nearby apartment buildings. Overall, 19 people have been affected by rocket attacks. Twelve people sought medical help, with two hospitalized, including a child.

At 07:06, the town of Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community was under Russian fire that led to the fire in the apartment in the five-story building. One man was injured. The consequences of the morning shelling are being clarified. Also, on Wednesday, Russian shelling was recorded in the water area of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties. During the day, the Russian forces shelled the settlement of the Kutsuruby community, destroying the garage and damaging farm buildings and residential buildings. There are no casualties.

In the southern Odesa region, the Russians carried out overnight attacks using missiles and kamikaze drones. As a result of the Russian attack, the city of Odesa faced destruction, and a fire broke out, covering an area of 300 square meters. Relevant services are working at the scene, and two injured civilians have been reported. An incident is also reported in the region, with at least two casualties. More detailed information regarding the consequences and affected individuals is being clarified.

During the past day, the Russian forces conducted 72 shelling incidents (277 shells) in the southern Kherson region, including two in Kherson city (8 shells). The Russians targeted 20 settlements in the region.

During the night, Russian forces attacked Kherson with Shahed drones. Hits were recorded in the Shumenskyi microdistrict. A fire broke out in the Naftovykiv cultural center, and a two-story building was damaged. Emergency services rescued a 59-year-old woman trapped in her home. She was hospitalized for injuries.

Additionally, the Russian forces shelled the Ivanychivka dacha cooperative in the Daryivka community, injuring a local resident. She sought medical assistance on her own, and necessary medical care is being provided. The Russian forces also struck a residential building in Olhivka, Tiahynka community, with a mortar. A 59-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. A total of four people were injured across the region during the day.
