Ukraine returns Russia's Black Sea shipping threats
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released a statement regarding the passage of ships in the Black Sea. The directive applies to ships en route to ports within the aggressor country or occupied territories.
Rubryka reports this with reference to the Ministry of Defense.
As stated in the department, Russia openly threatened civilian ships transporting food products from Ukrainian ports. Recently, the Kremlin has turned the Black Sea into a danger zone. The responsibility for all risks lies entirely with the Russian leadership.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense noted that the fate of the cruiser "Moskva" proves that the Defense Forces of Ukraine have the necessary means to repel Russian aggression at sea.
"The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warns that from 00:00 on July 21, 2023, all vessels heading in the waters of the Black Sea in the direction of seaports of the Russian Federation and Ukrainian seaports located on the territory of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia may be considered by Ukraine as those, which transport cargo of military purpose with all the corresponding risks," the message said.
Also, from 05:00 on July 20, 2023, shipping is prohibited as dangerous in the areas of the northeastern part of the Black Sea and the Kerch–Yenikale canal of Ukraine.
"Relevant navigational information for seafarers has already been made public," the Ministry of Defense wrote.
It is worth recalling that after Russia's announcement to withdraw from the "grain agreement," the aggressor country launched large-scale shelling of the south of Ukraine. Tonight, July 20, the Russian Federation launched a third consecutive massive combined attack on the cities of Ukraine using cruise missiles and kamikaze drones. Mykolaiv and Odesa were affected.
Withdrawal of the Russian Federation from the "grain agreement"
On July 17, the Kremlin refused to extend the "grain agreement." The press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitriy Peskov said that the agreements regarding the "grain initiative" have been terminated.
After that, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, offered Turkey and the UN to continue the "grain initiative" in a tripartite format. The state is considering the possibility of transporting food through the territorial waters of Romania and Bulgaria.
On July 19, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation threatened that any countries under whose flags ships sent to Ukrainian ports would be considered involved in the war.
At the same time, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia would resume participating in the "grain agreement" only if the West fulfilled several demands.
