Kyiv Metro to host first-aid training to improve passenger safety amid war
Every third Friday of the month, the Kyiv metro hosts professional doctors who teach first aid at 12 stations.
Everyone can join the training this Friday, July 21, Rubryka reports.
What is the problem?
The human body is a complex and, simultaneously, unique system that ensures the coordinated work of all internal organs. If an accident occurs, the victim's life and health depend on timely and high-quality assistance.
Amid Russia waging its terrorist war against Ukraine, first aid is essential to saving human life. Every minute is critical for the victim, and the only way to give them a chance to survive is to provide high-quality first aid before the arrival of medics.
What is the solution?
The training is traditionally organized by the Kyiv Metro, the Department of Health of the City of Kyiv, and the Center of Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine.
How does it work?
Experienced specialists and instructors will teach first aid skills, like the initial assessment of the victim's condition, help with massive bleeding, violation of the patency of the respiratory tract, stoppage of blood circulation, and thermal burns.
Training will be held from 13:00 to 17:00 at metro stations at red line stations (Shuliavska, Universytetska, Teatralna, Arsenalna), at the blue line stations (Olimpiiska, Palats Ukraina, Ploshcha Ukrainskykh Heroiv, Heroiv Dnipra), and the green line stations (Dorohozhychi, Zvirinetska, Pecherska, Pozniaky).
