Loud explosions rock occupied cities of Luhansk, Mariupol and Berdiansk targeting Russian military

Explosions were reported in the occupied cities of Luhansk, Berdiansk, and Mariupol on social media on the morning of July 16.    

The reports about Berdiansk and Luhansk, including a video of an explosion in Luhansk, were posted by local residents and pro-Russian propaganda channels.    

Soon after, exiled Mariupol's mayoral adviser, Petro Andriushchenko, posted that loud explosions were heard in Mariupol's seaside district.

The mayor also stressed the "extremely high activity of Russian air defense" in the area.

"In general, the occupiers' air defense is extremely active along the entire Rozivka (Zaporizhzhia region) – Nikolske – Mangush – Mariupol line.

We have to be patient. Something is happening, and it is something very pleasant," the advisor noted.

On July 16, loud explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Luhansk as a column of black smoke rose over the city, striking the Russian military cluster.

On the night of July 16, several explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol on the Crimean peninsula. The Russia-backed authorities stated that Russian forces repelled a drone attack.

The drone activity remains in Mariupol as well, with explosions becoming more occasional, as in Crimea. Russian troops have occupied Mariupol since the first months of the large-scale invasion. Recently, explosions have become more frequent in the city, and there are constant strikes that destroy equipment and personnel of Russian troops based in the captured city.

Russian regime in Mariupol gets more brutal every day. Center of the National Resistance reports the Russian invaders have started checking Ukrainian children for "loyalty" to Ukraine by checking their phones and recent activity.
