Ukrainian tennis player Kichenok becomes 2023 Wimbledon champion
Ukrainian tennis player Liudmila Kichenok became the champion of the 2023 Wimbledon in mixed doubles.

The Ukrainian won the 2023 Wimbledon in a duet with Croatian player Mate Pavić in mixed doubles. In the final, the couple met with the Chinese Xu Yifan and the Belgian Joran Vliegen. Kichenok and Pavich won in three sets — 6:4, 6:7, 6:3. This is the first time a Ukrainian has won the Wimbledon mixed tournament.
The Wimbledon tournament is the oldest two-week major tennis tournament, which takes place annually in late June – early July on the courts of the All England Club in London.
Liudmila Kichenok is a Ukrainian tennis player, winner of the Wimbledon mixed doubles tournament (2023). She has a twin sister, Nadia, with whom she usually performs in doubles. In January 2015, the sisters won their first WTA tournament, the Shenzhen Open.
