Rubryka informs about this.
What is the problem?
The author of the project emphasizes:
"For me, the special side of charity is help through creation, the birth of something completely new. Victoire de la Dignité is a multifaceted collection that includes high standards of real champagne production, charity, support of art, preservation of the cultural heritage of Ukrainians, and support of the world. In addition well, in my opinion, it is essential to cooperate with artists because it allows us to present the works of our artists on a larger scale and introduce society to the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
One of the influential areas of activity to which I devote time and energy is charity, which significantly contributes to the development and support of Ukrainian culture. Classical music concerts held over the years in various cities and countries united thousands of people for the sake of the future. Now, during a full-scale invasion, all charity is focused on supporting the military hospital. After all, this is primarily a thank you for freedom and a contribution to restoring the health of our defenders."
What is the solution?
In Ukraine, a limited-edition champagne Victoire de la Dignité, or "Victory of Dignity," is being presented, the proceeds from the sale of which will be directed to the needs of the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and mobile military hospitals.
How does it work?
Victory of Dignity is more than champagne because it is a collection of individual art objects: the labels depict six different paintings by modern Ukrainian artists, symbolizing the Victory of the nation. The limited edition consists of 2,388 collector's bottles created exclusively for Ukraine.
The collection was released as part of the charity project of Maria Didkovska, who involved the French family house of champagne Pierre Morlet for this purpose. Victoire de la Dignité can be purchased online.
The labels of the bottles of the limited collection of champagne depict paintings by modern Ukrainian artists:
All these works symbolized the Ukrainian victory in the war and became the ideological basis of Victoire de la Dignité.
According to the project's founder, Victory of Dignity is a rare case when the harvest of an independent artisan Champagne winery – one that produces only niche wine and always in limited quantities – is exported to another country for a charitable purpose. Winemakers of the Morle family thus demonstrate their support and unwavering faith in the victory of Ukraine.
Victoire de la Dignité Champagne is made from the 2015 vintage, which was threatened by a highly early winter. But all family members heated the vines around the clock with special burners to save the harvest and let it ripen. Later, the saved grapes were turned into champagne, which was saved for a critical moment. The entire process of creating the collection took place in France – from growing grapes to production and even printing labels at the Eclair printing house, the oldest house that specializes exclusively in cooperation with Champagne brands.
As Maria Didkovska says, victory has one taste and many faces. The title Victory of Dignity is intended to emphasize that Ukraine has already proved its own strength, courage, bravery, and dignity to the whole world. Ukrainians have already won as a nation, having demonstrated their incredible unity in the fight against the enemy. The faith of millions of people in the Ukrainian victory, both inside the country and abroad, help and support at various levels from all corners of the world brings this cherished victory closer.
For reference:
The originals of the paintings depicted on the labels can be seen live at the National Art Museum of Ukraine. As part of the charity project, from July 6 to 20, the first exhibition, called "Premonition of Victory," will be held there since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Visitors to the event will get a first–hand look into the art world as artists' workshops are set up inside the museum, revealing the artists' souls through their creations. This is an excellent opportunity to see the creativity of Ukraine come to life.
Maria Didkovska is the owner of the Citronelle restaurant and the Saint Bar. Maria and her team hold charity auctions and events during a full-scale war. Thanks to these initiatives, more than 5 million hryvnias were collected just for the needs of military hospitals. These funds were used to purchase the necessary sets of surgical and laparoscopic instruments for military mobile hospitals.
It should be noted that together with ATB supermarkets, Ukrainians collected UAH 70 million to help defenders and medics.
