Russian drones once again attack Ukraine by night
On Tuesday night of July 11, 2023, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine's regions with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones.
Rubryka reports, citing the statement of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram messaging app, that air defense forces downed 26 enemy air targets.
As the military reported, the Russian troops launched the drones from the south-eastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk). A total of 28 kamikaze drones were involved in the attack.
"Successful combat work by the air commands of the South and Center and the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of other units of the Defense Forces, led to the downing of 26 attack UAVs," the Air Force reported.
The Air Force also eliminated one reconnaissance drone of the Zala type and downed enemy helicopter (type to be specified), three attack UAVs of the Lancet type, and four operational-tactical reconnaissance drones.
According to reports, the Air Force aircraft carried out more than 20 group airstrikes on Russian positions during the current and past days.
As Rubryka reported, on the night of July 11, the Russian occupying forces attacked the capital with Iranian-made drones, and all aerial targets were destroyed by air defense.
The Air Force also released a video for the Day of Anti-Aircraft Missile Forces, in which it was shown how various units of the Air Force destroy Russian air targets daily.
As Rubryka reported, Ukrainian air defenses downed over 150 Shahed drones and 140 cruise missiles in June.
In addition, Ukraine's northern Sumy region is currently building up air defense forces and means and creating a modern Regional Air Target Detection System at the final stage.
