European Central Bank offers scholarships to talented Ukrainian students

The European Central Bank offers the most talented students of Ukrainian universities a scholarship of €10,000.

The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reported this, citing the ECB website.

What is the problem?

According to UNICEF, Russia's war in Ukraine has disrupted education for more than five million boys and girls. Thousands of schools, pre-schools, and other educational facilities in Ukraine have been damaged or destroyed by Russian forces.

What is the solution?

Because Ukrainian students need more support than ever before, the European Central Bank launched an initiative. The grant is intended to finance education and other related expenses. The program is designed for 15 students.

"This year, in continued solidarity with Ukraine, we want to support talented Ukrainian graduates pursuing studies relevant to the ECB in their home country," the ECB said.

How does it work?

Each student will get a grant of €10,000 to help finance their studies and have the opportunity to network with fellow scholars in similar fields of study. The candidate must have Ukrainian citizenship and be enrolled in, or plan to enroll in, a master's program in computer science, economics, engineering, law, statistics, or other relevant fields (e.g., mathematics, finance, political science).
