Lithuania awards Ukrainian leaders on its Statehood Day
On Statehood Day, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda awarded orders and medals to about 80 Lithuanian and foreign citizens, including Ukrainians.
Rubryka reports, citing the national broadcaster LRT, the awarded high-ranking Ukrainian politicians and military include Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

Reznikov was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of the Vytautas the Great, Valerii Zaluzhnyi — the Officer's Cross of the Order of the Vytautas the Great, Shmyhal — the Commander's Cross of the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas, Stefanishyna — the Officer's Cross of the Order of Gediminas.
Today, July 6, Lithuania celebrates Statehood Day, including the 770th anniversary of the first king Mindaugas (Mindovga), and National Anthem Day.
