Ukraine’s armed forces make advances on Bakhmut front – Colonel Cherevaty

On the Bakhmut front, the Ukrainian defenders have recently managed to advance further, and combat work on the flanks continues.

The spokesman of the Eastern group of troops of Ukraine's armed forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, reported on the telethon air.

"We have an advance on the Bakhmut front. Combat operations are being conducted on the flanks, and the opposing force is under pressure. After a detailed analysis and verification, we will provide detailed data on the liberated territory, " the Eastern group representative emphasized.

As Cherevaty emphasized, 23 combat clashes occurred on the Bakhmut front during the day.

The spokesman noted that the occupiers are fiercely resisting, but the Ukrainian military has eliminated 116 invaders and injured another 119 in a day.

In addition, Ukrainian fighters destroyed dozens of enemy vehicles.

Cherevaty also noted that the invaders tried to storm the Ukrainian army's positions on the Lymano-Kupiansk front ten times a day.

"On the Lymano-Kupiansk front, in particular in the area of Nevsky and Dibrova, the Russians use more or less generally accepted tactics, that is, they conduct reconnaissance and carry out artillery strikes, there are no more Wagner-style "meat assaults." They are trying to attack our positions in platoon groups", – explained the representative of the Eastern Group.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 46 combat clashes took place at the front on July 1. The occupiers are concentrating on assaults on the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Mariinka fronts.

ISW analysts assume that the Russians may draw forces from other directions to Bakhmut due to the offensive of Ukrainian troops.

Also, American experts believe that the military operations around Bakhmut in the Donetsk region can turn out for the Russian command either by the withdrawal of invaders from the south of Ukraine or by risk in the Kherson and Luhansk regions.

As Rubryka wrote, Ukrainian defenders have stepped up offensive actions on the Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Bakhmut fronts over the past month. Ukraine's armed forces liberated eight settlements in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

Moreover, the Ukrainian army's military continues to pressure the Russian army in the temporarily captured territories of southern Ukraine. Therefore, the occupying military may soon make another "gesture of goodwill" [withdraw from that territory – ed.].

As Nataliya Humeniuk, spokeswoman for the Operational Command "South," reported, on the left bank of the Dnipro River, in the area of the Antonivsky bridge near Kherson, heavy fighting continues between the Ukrainian military and units of the occupying army of the Russian Federation.
