Ukrainian air defenses downed 74% of Russian missiles and 60% of attack drones in June, according to the commander of the Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk.

He added that since day one of the full-scale war, Russia had lost five times as many helicopters in Ukraine as it did in the two wars in the Chechnya war.

Since the beginning of June, the air defense forces have destroyed 74% of the cruise missiles used by the enemy and about 60% of the attack drones used.

Russia has also lost more than 300 helicopters in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. This is five times more than during the two wars in Ichkeria, where the occupiers' losses amounted to about 60 combat and transport helicopters, the Air Force command added.

The Ukrainian military shot down 156 missiles (Iskander-K, Iskander-M, Kalibr, Kinzhal, X-101, X-555, and X-55).

Also, 152 kamikaze drones were destroyed. These were mostly Iranian-made Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 drones. Several Russian-made Lancet drones were also shot down.

Within a month, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed eight Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters. The cost of one of these helicopters is approximately $16 million.

Previously in May, Ukraine's defense intelligence stated that Russia is capable of producing up to 60 missiles of various types every month.

The spokesman of Ukraine's Air Force Yurii Ihnat said that the occupiers are accumulating missiles for some "insidious" intentions.
