President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda announced this on Twitter on the morning of June 28, Rubryka reports.
What is the problem?
Ukraine urgently needs more air defense systems, as Russia does not stop its missile and drone attacks.
Just yesterday, on June 27, the Russian invaders once again hit the eastern city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region with S-300 missiles. One of them hit a restaurant. The number of killed has increased to eight people, including three children. Fifty-six people were injured.
"The President of Ukraine has repeatedly raised the issue of the possible transfer of NASAMS systems to Ukraine," said the Lithuanian president.
What is the solution?
"Today, an agreement was signed between Lithuania and the Norwegian company Kongsberg that we will buy and provide Ukraine with two modernized NASAMS launch systems, and they will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future," Nauseda emphasized on Tuesday in The Hague.

Nauseda expects that the NATO summit in Vilnius in July will make more collective decisions regarding support for Ukraine.
On Wednesday, June 27, Nauseda will visit Kyiv. The Lithuanian president said this the day before at a press conference in The Hague after a meeting with several NATO leaders.
In May, the US State Department approved the possible sale of the NASAMS air defense system and related equipment to the government of Ukraine at an estimated cost of $285 million.
On May 18, Chair of the Ukrainian parliament Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, during his visit to Norway, said that supplies of Norwegian NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine might soon increase.
