Lithuania will hand over NASAMS SAM launchers and additional armored personnel carriers and ammunition to Ukraine.

On June 28, the Minister of Defense of Lithuania, Arvydas Anušauskas, said this on Facebook.

As the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense said, the planned Lithuanian military aid package to Ukraine includes ten M113 armored personnel carriers. The total number of these armored personnel carriers transferred by Lithuania will reach 72 units.

For 2023, Lithuania ordered 12.5 million ammunition for Ukraine, of which 2.5 million will be delivered shortly.

As Arvydas Anušauskas added, thousands of units of anti-tank ammunition for grenade launchers will be transferred in the near future. The minister also specified that the cost of two NASAMS air defense system launchers, which Lithuania decided to purchase for Ukraine, is about €9.8 million.

In the near future, the systems will be fully prepared for integration into existing Ukrainian units, supplementing and expanding the operational capabilities of the NASAMS systems transferred by Norway and the USA.

As Rubryka reported earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda announced that Lithuania had purchased two NASAMS launchers, which will be transferred to Ukraine. He made this announcement before the start of his visit to Kyiv on Wednesday, June 28.

At this time, the President of Lithuania is in Ukraine on an unannounced visit to Ukraine.

As reported, the Lithuanian leader will discuss the agenda of the NATO summit in Vilnius in July with the Ukrainian president, including Ukraine's EU membership negotiations and assistance from Lithuania and the European Union to Ukraine.
