SavED Charity Fund opens online platform to gather funds for reconstruction of Ukrainian schools

The Ukrainian charity fund SavED launched a website for fundraising for school reconstruction.

The charitable foundation created it with the support of the Ukrainian IT company EPAM.

What is the problem?

During the full-scale invasion, the Russian occupiers destroyed over 400 schools in Ukraine, and about 3,000 more were damaged by shelling.

According to UNICEF, some 5.3 million children face barriers preventing access to education, including 3.6 million children directly affected by school closures. This places children in Ukraine at risk of losing critical schooling and social development years.

What is the solution?

The SavED.Foundation website was launched to restore access to education for children in Ukraine. The website is a platform to raise funds for reconstructing schools destroyed by Russian shelling.

How does it work?

This platform will make it possible to gather money for the reconstruction of school premises, the arrangement of shelters, and the creation of educational centers.

A team of 12 volunteers worked on creating the website to restore access to education and rebuild the destroyed Soviet-time schools better than they were, says co-founder of SavED and former Minister of Education Anna Novosad.

SavED is an international charitable foundation that restores access to education in communities affected by the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.
