Russian forces intensify filtering measures against teenagers in occupied Mariupol
Russian occupiers have begun to check Ukrainian children in the temporarily occupied Mariupol for "loyalty to Ukraine", according to the Center for National Resistance.
Russian forces stop local teenagers at checkpoints. After that, they check their phones and the presence of a Russian passport, which, according to Russian law, should be obtained from the age of 14.
After checking for involvement in the partisan movement, Russians hold "preventive talks" with children, where they demand they report "unreliable companions".
We see the intensification of filtering measures in the city, and practice of abducting residents continues, the Center noted.
Russian-backed official in the Zaporizhzhia region Vladislav Rogov reported the murder of two Ukrainian partisans in Berdiansk. One of them is 16-year-old teenager Tigran Ohanesyan, who was held captive by the Russians.
As Rubryka previously reported, as of June 20, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, the official number of children who died is 490.
Nearly 20,000 children have already been deported to Russia and the occupied territories, and only 373 of them have been returned home.
