Ukrainian air defense downed 41 missiles and two drones during Russian attack overnight

On the night of June 24, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with over 40 missiles and kamikaze drones from different directions.

Air defense forces shot down all 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, says the spokesperson of Ukraine's Air Force Yurii Ihnat.

"We had an attack by ten Tu-95 strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea. They launched 40 missiles this time. It was a powerful night attack, Ihnat said.

Ignat emphasized that the Russians also deployed Tu-22M3 bombers, firing nine Kh-22 missiles that hit the target on a ballistic trajectory.

The spokesperson emphasized that Ukrainian forces are not yet able to shoot down these missiles perfectly, as they require modern defense systems.

The Russian invaders also launched two Kalibr cruise missiles and two kamikaze drones.

The Air Force reported having shot down:

• all 40 Kh-101 / Kh-555 missiles
• one Kalibr cruise missile
• two Shahed-136/131 attack drones.

Anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, and mobile fire groups of the Center, South, and East air commands of the Ukrainian Air Force were engaged to repel the air attack.

Unfortunately, Russian invaders sent X-22 missiles in the direction of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. Local administrations will report on the consequences and victims.

Night missile attack on Ukraine

Russian forces have once again attacked Ukraine with long-range missiles.

On the night of June 24, Ukrainian air defense shot down more than 20 Russian missiles in the sky around Kyiv: the debris of an enemy air target hit a 25-story building in the capital's Solomyansky district, killing three people.

Russians also attacked the residential area of Dnipro city, destroying several buildings.

The eastern city of Kharkiv was shelled with S-300 missiles. The mayor Igor Terekhov reported at least three hits in the Sloboda district.
