Security Service of Ukraine detains assistant of sanctioned Russian billionaire Shelkov for exporting Ukrainian titanium for Kalibr missiles

In Dnipro, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) employees detained Russian Oleksandr Fedoseyev, the "right-hand man" of the sanctioned billionaire Mykhailo Shelkov. Both of them are suspected of illegally exporting titanium from Ukraine to Russia.

The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this.

According to the Security Service's data, these people set up a system for smuggling titanium resources from Ukraine to Russia.

There it was used in the military-industrial complex, including for the production of:

• Kalibr-type missiles,
• combat aircraft MiG-35 and SU-35,
• Ka-52 helicopters.

The detainee's official position is an adviser to the general director of the VSMPO-AVISMA metallurgical corporation, which a Russian billionaire owns.

It was through the corporation that Shelkov arranged the supply of minerals from the deposits of the Demurinsky mining and beneficiation plant controlled by him in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On his behalf, Fedoseev arrived in Ukraine before February 24, 2022, to control this illegal business.

According to available data, the organizers of the "scheme" shipped almost 11 tons of minerals with a total value of nearly 2 million dollars to Russia.

SSU employees documented the incident and took comprehensive measures to bring its organizers to justice.

The Security Service, through operational activities, was able to ascertain the whereabouts of Fedoseev and, on the 22nd of June, apprehend him while he sought to avoid prosecution.

During the search, a Russian passport and documents with evidence of illegal activities were found in his possession.

SSU investigators informed Shelkov and Fedoseev of the suspicion of financing actions committed to violently change or overthrow the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the borders of the territory or the state border of Ukraine.

It is reported that currently, the court has chosen Fedoseev as a preventive measure in the form of detention. He faces up to 8 years in prison.

It should be noted that SSU law enforcement officers exposed a Russian agent among the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: he wanted to convey to the curator the front where the Ukrainian counteroffensive would start.

Also, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an agent of the Belarusian State Security Committee. According to the special service, the man was spying on the northern border of Ukraine.
