Russia hits Kyiv with 20 missiles overnight killing three and injuring eight
Russian forces launched another full-scale missile attack on Ukraine, targeting many large cities.
The enemy forces launched 20 missiles at Kyiv. Ukraine's air defense shot down all of them, however, the debris hit a 25-story building in the capital's Solomyansky district, killing three people, authorities report.
The debris caused partial destruction of building structures on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th floors of the building, with separate fires on the floors.
The fire was reported at 04:40 and extinguished at 06:30.
As a result of the attack, 11 people sustained injuries of varying severity, 3 of them were hospitalized.
The bodies of 3 dead people were found, authorities said.
Rescuers saved 24 people, including three people from the rubble and another from a blocked elevator.
During the missile attack, air defense shot down more than 20 Russian missiles around Kyiv on the night of June 24.
The eighth air attack on Kyiv in June. The enemy once again used its usual tactics – Tu-95MS strategic bombers launched Kh-101/555 missiles from the Caspian Sea.
Over 20 missiles were detected and destroyed in the airspace around Kyiv by Ukrainian air defense forces, they added.

On June 16, the Air Force reported that the Russian occupiers had fired Kalibr cruise missiles in the Black Sea, and an air alert was announced in a number of regions.
The occupiers tried to attack the Kyiv region with 12 missiles. Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down all the air targets, including six Kalibr and six Kinzhal missiles.
As a result of the enemy attack, six people were wounded in one of the settlements of the Kyiv region.
